Welcome to Girdwood, Alaska

Just a mile from Alyeska Resort, enjoy world-class skiing, hiking, and a scenic tram ride to the top of Mt. Alyeska. Visit the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center nearby to spot brown bears, moose, and more, or explore Girdwood's outdoor wonders. During warmer months, nearby lakes and rivers provide excellent spots for fishing and kayaking, making it a year-round destination for outdoor fun.

Fine dining with beautiful views

Basecamp

A relaxed dining spot in Girdwood on Hightower Road, right across from the Crow Creek Mercantile. Their menu features small eats, burgers and sandwiches, pasta, flatbreads, poke bowls, and more. A comprehensive wine list and revolving local tap beers are also available. Open 12 PM - 9 PM daily.

Spoonline Bistro

A bistro-style restaurant that also offers catering services for events. Their creative and diverse menus feature international dishes that can accommodate dietary restrictions like paleo, keto, gluten-free, and vegan. Menus can be found on their website. Open 5 PM - 10 PM, Friday-Tuesday; 9 AM - 2 PM, Saturday brunch.

Jack Sprat

A New American restaurant with a creative and diverse menu that caters to all dietary preferences, including vegan options. Diners can savor appetizers like vegan nachos and pan-seared halibut cheeks, enjoy mains such as wild-caught salmon and fresh pasta, and delight in desserts like chocolate olive oil cake and raw cacao cheesecake. Open 4 PM - 10 PM, Wednesday-Sunday; closed Monday-Tuesday. Note: Intimate, private dining rooms are available for special occasions.

Alaska Wild Guides

A family-owned tour operator business offering small-group snowmobile adventures at Spencer Glacier and Church National Forest plus jet ski tours through icy waters near glaciers. A complete list of tours and bookings are available on their website. Open 8 AM - 6 PM daily.

Girdwood Brewing Company

A brewery offering meticulously crafted beers, featuring four core varieties alongside a rotating selection of seasonal and special brews. Guests can enjoy their drinks in a cozy timber-framed taproom adorned with local art and ski relics or in the inviting beer garden with fire pits. Food trucks are also available onsite. Open 11 AM - 9 PM daily.

Alyeska Resort

A premier year-round destination featuring fine dining experiences, a saltwater pool, ski mountain, and bike park along with the new Nordic Spa. Hours vary seasonally. Tip: Check out their website calendar for upcoming events!

Alpine Apothecary Pharmacy Marketplace

A local ful-service pharmacy in Girdwood. Open 10 AM - 6:30 PM, Monday-Friday; 10 AM - 2 PM, Saturday; and closed Sunday.

Crow Creek Mercantile

A supermarket carrying brand-name and house-label groceries, plus a deli, bakery, and more. Open 8 AM - 11 PM daily.

Raw Market Co

A neighborhood store with locally and organically focused food choices. Open 11 AM - 8 PM daily.
