Corral Bar, Steakhouse & Motel

The legendary watering hole in Big Sky since 1947 that guarantees a true Montana experience. Serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner at a location close to the famous recreational activities in the area. Open 8 AM - 10 PM, Wednesday to Sunday (kitchen closes at 9 PM).

Ousel & Spur Pizza Co.

A family-friendly culinary gem that specializes in wood-fired pizzas and offers a wide selection of authentic Italian pasta dishes, creative appetizers, delectable desserts, and eye-opening coffee. Conveniently located at Big Sky Town Center; open 5 PM - 9 PM daily. Reserve through their website; call directly for large-party (8+) reservations.

Everett's 8800

An elevated Big Sky Resort dining experience with an award-winning menu of alpine cuisine and panoramic views of Lone Peak. Reservations are required for dinner and highly recommended for lunch; open 30 days in advance and fill up quickly. Tip from the restaurant: Book a reservation just before sunset for a spectacular lights show by the fire on the deck.


Attractions

Ousel Falls

A short 1.6-mile hike which is the perfect way to get used to the high elevation in the area. The trail leads to many adventures including ending up in the densely forested Yellow Mules trail, the South Fork overlook, and even the base of the stunning waterfall that has a picnic area and pool. 

Fly Fishing

A year-round activity for fishing enthusiasts. Tip: If you're in search of less crowds and more serenity to bask in the experience completely, we recommend Lone Mountain Ranch and Wild Trout Outfitters for winter fly-fishing.

Fat Biking

For bikers visiting the area during winter months, fat biking will be your go-to activity with Big Sky's many trails. Reminder: Keep safe and warm with your helmets and a thin hat or headband, winter boots, and padded clothing.

Visit Yellowstone National Park

A prime destination for nature lovers with colorful hot springs, diverse wildlife, endless trails, mesmerizing waterfalls, and panoramic viewpoints. Although quite the journey away, the experience is worth it whether in the summer or winter. Tip: Visit their website for more important info on operating dates, current conditions, and park roads.

Archery

A family-friendly summer activity with a view. Big Sky Resort offers courses amidst a Lone Peak backdrop for $51 per person while Big Sky Archery has one-on-one lessons with their experts for $40 per hour and $20 per half-hour.

Big Sky Golf Course

An award-winning 18-hole par 72 golf course at Big Sky Resort with a pro shop that offers apparel, accessories, and club repair. Visit their website to book tee times or view information on memberships, lessons, and drop-in clinics.

Sleigh Ride

A magical winter tradition suitable for the entire family. 320 Guest Ranch offers a sleigh ride that ends at a campfire filled with snacks, hot beverages, and ranch stories; Cache Creek Outfitters provides heated sleighs for the coziest ride up the mountain and the legendary Lone Mountain Ranch.

Hummocks

A moderate-to-hard 3-mile hike with slightly more elevation gain and takes approximately 1 hour and 4 minutes to complete. Popular trail for hiking, mountain biking, and running. Best times to visit are July through October; dogs are welcome and may be off-leash in some areas.

Mountain Biking

An exhilarating ride through the many trails in the area, no matter your level. Some popular trails include Garnet Mountain, Cinnamon Mountain Trail, Porcupine, Uplands Trail Loop, and Mica Creek.

Beehive Basin

A challenging 6.6-mile round-trip hike with a beautiful basin and mountain pond at the end; very popular area for backpacking, camping, and hiking. The best times to visit this trail are May through October; dogs are welcome and may be off-leash in some areas.

Warren Miller Performing Arts Center

A renowned cultural hub that brings creative vision to the Big Sky stage through world-class acts, local performers, and community inspiration. In this 280-seat venue, you can enjoy musicals, stand-up comedy, acrobatics, and more. Information on events and ticket purchasing is available on their website.

Dogsledding

An exhilarating activity amidst a winter landscape and a must-try for dogsledding fans. Learn from expert instructors from companies like Spirit of the North Dog Sledding and Lone Mountain Ranch. More information on pricing and packages available on their websites.

Discovery Yellowstone Tours

Fun guided private and group tours that run May to October from Big Sky, West Yellowstone, Bozeman & Gardiner. Their tour guide, Mitch, is highly recommended.

Alpacas of Montana

A fun, delightful hands-on experience that allows you to feed, walk, and learn about alpacas and llamas. Located in downtown Bozeman.

Horseback Riding
