How to Use the Grill at Wander Yellowstone Valley

Learn how to use the grill at Wander Yellowstone Valley with these simple steps!

The incredible views of the Absaroka Mountains and the serene valley make grilling at Wander Yellowstone Valley so much fun!

Operating the grill is simple, with these steps. Let's get started!

Attaching the grill to the propane

The first step is to attach the grill to the propane. You can find the propane hookup on the side of the house. Remove the yellow cap to attach the hose, and pull down the quick connector to attach the hose. Here's a quick video tutorial!

Let's get grilling!

Now it's time for the fun part: grilling.

Wander Yellowstone Valley is equipped with a Weber Genesis II E-410 4-Burner Propane Gas Grill, which has 4 control knobs. Each of these knobs operates an individual burner, which will ignite independently of the others.

Preheating is essential for safe and efficient grilling, so don't forget to preheat all burners. On that note, you don't have to light all burners once you start grilling.

Next, follow these steps to use the grill:

  1. Open the lid.

  2. Make sure that all knobs are in the off position. You can double-check by pushing the knob in, then turning it clockwise. (Important safety precaution: All burner knobs must be in the off position before you switch the propane on.)

  3. Switch the propane supply on by turning the cylinder valve counter-clockwise. You can also move the regulator lever to ON, depending on the cylinder and regulator connection.

  4. Start operating the burners on the far left by pushing the control knob in, then turning it counterclockwise until it reaches the start/high position.

  5. Push the electronic ignition button down, and hold until you hear it ticking.

  6. Inspect the burner and ensure it's lit. You can do this by peeking through the cooking grates, and to the half-circle in the flavorizer bars. If the burner isn't igniting, turn the burner control knob to the off position. Wait 5 to 10 minutes as you allow the gas to clear out, then you can try lighting the burner again.

  7. Once the burner is ignited, repeat steps 4 to 6 with the remaining burners.

When you're done grilling, it's time to extinguish the burners. You can do this by pushing each burner control knob in, as you turn it clockwise until it reaches the OFF position. Last but not least, turn the propane supply off.

Safety precautions

Safety should always come first to ensure a fun, memorable grilling experience. Remember to keep kids and pets away from the grill. Also, never leave the grill unattended while you're cooking.

Flammable materials must never be placed on the grill to prevent catching fire. These include wood, gasoline, and debris.

Keep these tips in mind so that grilling at Wander Yellowstone Valley is as safe and enjoyable as possible.
