How to Operate the Elevator
1. Activate the elevator by closing both the accordion door going into the elevator and the wooden doors from all floors.
2. Press 'Call' to call the elevator once all the doors are closed. The 'Car is Here' button will light up once the elevator has arrived.
Note: If the 'Call' button doesn't stay lit, the door on one of the floors is not closed entirely.
3. Once inside the elevator, close all doors and press the desired floor.
Note: It takes almost a full minute for the elevator to get in between each floor
4. Wait about 20 seconds after arriving on the chosen floor until you hear a 'click,' which signals that the exterior/wooden door automatically unlatches.
5. Open the accordion door from within the elevator, then the outer door, and carefully exit the elevator.
6. When you exit the elevator, make sure to completely close both the exterior and accordion doors to avoid problems the next time you use it.
Safety Precautions / Troubleshooting
You may open the exterior door after hearing a "click" before you try to exit the elevator. To ensure safety, the exterior door does not remain unlocked for long.
When the door does not open inside the elevator – if you miss the door being unlatched, press the floor number you are on, and it will unlatch again.
It is crucial that the latching box not be tampered with since this will cause more issues with the elevator. To guide you better, here's a short video instruction on how to troubleshoot.
