How to Use the Fire Pit and Fireplace at Wander Tahoe Slopes

Read on for easy instructions!

This blog is to help you operate the fire pits and fireplaces at Wander Tahoe Slopes so you may enjoy all the lux amenities during your stay. Read on to get started!

To use the upstairs fire pit:

  • The fire pit is located upstairs on the deck above the garage, and can be turned on using the app

  • There is also a switch to the right of the grill that will allow you to turn it on. See the switch here.

To use the downstairs fire pit:

  • This is located downstairs on the lower level deck by the hot tub.

  • Make sure the propane tank is on. There is a small tank located in a wooden box next fire pit. To ensure the gas is on, turn the valve at the top all the way to the left.

  • Ignite the fire pit with the controls. You’ll need to use two hands; one to turn to depress the gas valve and one to click the ignitor button. Slowly release the gas valve and turn to the desired flame height. This may take more than one try.

  • Please note that it's important that the gas is allowed to flow at the control for 1-2 seconds before trying to ignite.

  • Helpful tip: If you’ve followed all our steps and you can’t seem to get it to work, the propane tank could be empty. A general rule of thumb is that if it’s easy to lift the tank up, it is empty. There are 2 extra tanks alongside the house (past the hot tub).
