How to Use the Washer and Dryer at Wander Orford Cliffs

Helpful tips for using the washer and dryer!

We’ve all been there – dreading the return home after an incredible vacation, only to face the tedious task of unpacking and washing a mountain of dirty laundry. But what if I told you that you could cut down on packing, wear your favorite outdoor clothes more than once, and return home with nothing but fresh-smelling clothes? Pretty awesome, right?

Here’s your quick and easy guide on using the washer and dryer waiting for you at Wander Orford Cliffs!

Before we begin

Once you’re ready to take on your laundry, head to the kitchen, and right in one of the cabinets under the kitchen counter, you'll find the washer and dryer.

Let's start washing

1.) Sort your load based on colors and fabric type to ensure excellent wash performance.

2.) Push the On/Off button to turn the washer on.

3.) Press the Door button to open the washer and load light items together to prevent out-of-balance load, and put small things in mesh bags to avoid catching them in the impeller at the bottom of the drum. Meanwhile, load and wash bulky items like comforters, bedspreads, and blankets one at a time to avoid getting them tangled and ensure even washing.

4.) Detergents are all available at home, but if you ever want to bring your own, we highly recommend using HE (High Efficiency) ones since they produce fewer suds.

5.) Open the dispenser drawer and load the products into their respective compartments. Ensure to follow the average and maximum fill line on the amount of detergent to use, especially if you’re using concentrated ones.

6.) Simply press the button of your preferred washing program and the corresponding indicator light will light up. To help you decide which one to choose, check out this Cycle Guide.

7.) Press the Start button to begin the cycle. Once the program begins, the drum light will turn off. You may activate the Child Lock feature at this point for safety. To activate or deactivate, press and hold the Heavy Soil button until the display shows "Locked."

8.) You can monitor your cycle by looking at the Display, including the estimated time for the process to finish.

9.) Once the cycle is complete, you may unlock the door and collect your washed load.

10.) Make sure the door is left open to allow the interior to dry and avoid mold growth.

Now it's time to dry

For better airflow and drying performance, make sure the lint filter is clean. Open the dryer door, pull the lint filter directly up, remove any buildup and you're good to go!

1.) Push the On/Off button to turn the dryer on.

2.) Press the Door button to open the dryer and load your items. Ensure clothes are pushed entirely into the drum and away from the door seal area.

3.) To choose your desired program, press either the ∧ or ∨ button until the corresponding indicator lights up. You can also select a drying option and dryness level, so check out this User Manual for more info.

4.) Press the Start/Stop button to start the cycle.

5.) You can monitor your cycle by looking at the Status Indicators.

6.) After the cycle is complete, the End/Anti-crease light will turn on, and the buzzer will sound if it was set to signal that it's time to collect your laundry. As much as possible, retrieve your items immediately to lessen wrinkling.

7.) Similar to the washer, make sure the door is left open to allow the interior to dry and avoid mold growth.

Got questions?

At times, the appliance may not be responsive when you push the buttons on the washer or dryer. In most cases, this occurs when the Child Lock feature is activated.

For the washer, you may activate/deactivate the Child Lock feature by pressing and holding the Heavy Soil button until the display shows Locked.

Meanwhile, for the dryer, follow these steps below:
1. Turn off the dryer and ensure that the door is closed.
2. Press and hold both the Anti-crease and Dryness buttons at the same time, while turning on the dryer using the On/Off button.
3. Press the Options button three times, then release the Anti-crease and Dryness buttons.

The Child lock indicator will start flashing, indicating that the dryer is now locked. To deactivate, repeat steps 1 to 3.
