How to Use the Grill at Wander Leavenworth Peaks

While there are several excellent dining options in town, access to a grill makes it easy to whip up meals right at home. It's also a wonderful way to bond with your family and friends, grilling together in an incredible place.

At Wander Leavenworth Peaks, we provide guests with a grill for your convenience. It's located in the covered patio, while a grill lighter and tools can be found either on top or to the right side.

How to use the grill:

• Make sure ALL burner control knobs are turned off.

• Turn the propane supply valve on. The valve for the propane tank is located in the compartment underneath the grill.

• Push burner 1 control knob in and turn it counterclockwise to start/high position IMPORTANT: Always ignite burner 1 first. The other burners ignite from burner 1.

• Push and hold in the igniter button. You will hear the igniter clicking.

• After burner 1 is lit, you can start turning on the other burners.

Once you're done grilling, push each burner control knob in and turn it clockwise until it reaches the off position. Last but not least, don't forget to turn off the gas supply at the source: it must always be turned off after grilling.

Safety Tips

Safety must always be a priority when you're grilling. Here are some useful safety tips to keep in mind:

1. Never leave the grill unattended. The heat and flames used to cook your food may be a fire hazard if you leave it unattended.

2. Wear appropriate clothing that doesn't dangle from your arms. This will prevent your clothes from accidentally catching fire in the grill.

3. Use different plates to separate raw from cooked food. It's a simple yet critical step toward contamination prevention.
