Black Wood-burning Stove
In the ultra-modern open space living room, you will notice a black wood-burning stove that adds a lot of character to the area. You will find firewood and a firestarter located right beside the stove for your convenience.
To begin, make sure that the ash collector is pushed in place, the flue is open, and the ash sister/twist knob is closed.
To start the fire, place five or six double sheets of tightly twisted newspaper in the center of the firebox. Build a teepee shape using kindling, and add bark and small logs on top.
Light a piece of paper and leave the front door open until the kindling starts to burn and the draft starts to pull.
Start flaming the sides/lower portion of the kindling and close the door partially but not completely.
As the kindling begins to burn, open the front door and add small logs to build up the fire.
Use the primary air control to control the rate at which the fire burns.
