How to Access and Use the Golf Cart at Wander Kure Beach

Let's make your beach trip even better!

Golf carts are a great way to explore the beach comfortably and in style. So if you’re looking for a fun day out with friends or just want to enjoy the sights along the coast, using a golf cart is a great way to get around.

Whether it's safety precautions, beach regulations, or driving instructions, we've got you covered here. So buckle up for a new adventure at Wander Kure Beach while using a golf cart!

Must-Know Laws

As a motor vehicle, a golf cart can be pulled over by the police, so be sure you are familiar with the Local and State Traffic Laws before driving.

To ensure safe usage, here are the top three guidelines to keep in mind:

  1. A golf cart must be driven only by a licensed, legally of age individual

  2. The golf cart must have a minimum speed of at least 21 mph and a maximum of 25 mph

  3. The golf cart is designed to be driven on pavement, not sand.

We highly recommend reading and adhering to the comprehensive guidelines provided by the Town Of Kure Beach Org for a smooth and memorable driving experience.

How to Access the Golf Cart

To start, please complete the ‘Golf Cart Rental Agreement Form." You can ping Concierge to get access to that.

You will be asked to provide your personal information and upload a photo of your driver’s license, proof of insurance, and snaps of the golf cart before use. For a smooth process, please have all the requirements ready.

Once the form and photos are sent in, our Concierge Team will quickly check them to verify. Afterward, they will guide you through the next steps in getting access to the golf cart.

How to Drive the Golf Cart

  • Unlock the gray lock box using the code provided after completing the form and retrieve the key to start the golf cart.

  • The key should then be inserted into the designated slot before turning it to start the engine.

  • To switch between modes, use the direction selector on the dashboard. Select F for forward, N for Neutral, and R for reverse.

  • To increase your speed, press down on the accelerator pedal – it's the right pedal on the floorboard. Make sure to apply slow and steady pressure on the pedal.

  • Use the brake pedal to stop or slow down – it's on the left with a word written on it.

  • To park, use the Park pedal – it’s right above the brake pedal. To activate, firmly press the upper pedal until it locks into place. To disengage, quickly press and release the lower (brake) pedal.

Reminder: When the key switch is turned 'ON,' and the Park brake is engaged, pressing the accelerator by mistake can disengage the brake and cause the vehicle to move. This poses a danger to both the driver and those in the area.

It is best to release the Park brake by pressing down on the lower part of the brake pedal also to ensure the brakes last longer.

Charging Guide

After a fun-filled day exploring the area, you can recharge the golf cart's battery using the charger hooked to the wall. The charger is inserted into the cart's charger port on the back left.

Just a reminder not to leave the charger plugged in overnight to prevent damage to the battery.
