How to Use the Fire Pit and Fireplace at Wander Hudson Ridge

How to use the fireplace
The fireplace is located in the living room of the home. Please note it is operated with gas and can be turned on using the switch found at the bottom of the fireplace. You may also control the fireplace using the black remote.
If the pilot lights are out, there is a black box nearby and a little red light should flash quickly when you press the remote.
If it does, on the black box you can try moving the black switch to the ON position from the remote position and that would tell whether it’s working or not.
If that still doesn’t work please try the following troubleshooting steps:
Please double-check that the gas valve is turned into the on position. The yellow valve needs to run parallel to the gas line.
Ensure the pilot light is on. To turn the pilot light on there is a twist knob on the left on the silver box thing in the fireplace that would have to be turned and pressed down.
Note: Hudson Woods home is actually a push pilot so you should be able to depress that knob in, hold a grill lighter to the pilot, wait 3-5 seconds (with the knob depressed and the pilot lit), and then turn the pilot to "on" position. The small blue flame should stay lit. The remote should then work if the batteries are good (if you're seeing a red light that means the batteries are good)
The remote should have new batteries and so should the black receiver box in the fire (follow the wire lines to locate). The remote usually takes (2) AAA and the black receiver box takes (4) AA. Please reach out to concierge if the batteries seem to be the issue.
How to use the fire pit
Just put wood in, fire starter, light it, and you’re good to go!
