How to Use the Hot Tub at Wander Cape Charles

Relax in the Wander Cape Charles hot tub with ease using this guide!

The outdoor hot tub is one of the best features of Wander Cape Charles. There is nothing better than soaking for hours with a view of the Chesapeake Bay, especially when you're with friends!

There are a few things to remember to operate the 5-person hot tub. Read on below to learn more.

How to fill the hot tub

Before you begin using the hot tub, always remember to rinse off sand and dirt to keep it clean for you and future guests.

Now it's time to start filling up the hot tub:

  1. Use a garden hose to fill the hot tub with water.

  2. Keep the T-handled shut-off valve in the pump, as well as on the left of the power pack, completely open.

  3. Make sure the water is always at least 2 inches over the filter. Meanwhile, the jets should be underwater. You can use the ridge over the hydrotherapy jets as a measuring guideline for water levels.

Important warning: Don't turn the hot tub on until the tub is completely filled with water.

Operating the hot tub

Now that the water has reached the correct level, you may remove the garden hose and turn the power on.

Press the down arrow COOL button to lower the temperature and the up arrow WARM to increase the temperature. The hot tub can be heated to a maximum of 104F. You may notice the temperature number on the screen flashing; when it flashes.

How to turn on the jets

Press the Jets button to turn the pump on or off. It can also be used to shift between low and high speeds. If the jets are left running, the pump will switch off 2 hours (if on low speed), and 15 minutes (if on high speed).

How to turn on the lights

Press the Light button to turn the spa lights on. It will automatically turn off after 4 hours.

Hot tub maintenance

We ensure that the hot tub is routinely cleaned and inspected between guest turnovers so it's always clean and functioning properly. Maintenance includes chemical balancing (chlorine/bromine and other chemicals), filter cleaning, tub brushing, and skimming as required.

It's always a great help for us when guests rinse off before hot tub use.
