A quick and simple guide to using the grill

So get ready to fire up the grill and cook up tasty holiday memories!

Safety precautions

Safety should always come first. Make sure that kids and pets always stay far away from the grill, and never leave it unattended when in use.

Also, don’t place flammable items on the grill to prevent catching a fire. These include wood, gasoline, debris, etc. Always be cautious to make sure that grilling is both enjoyable and safe!

How to turn on/off the grill

The grill is located on the top deck with the fireplace – the perfect spot for hosting an evening of grilling during your vacation!

Before you get started using the grill, don’t forget to pre-heat: this crucial step ensures that grilling is successful! Simply open the lid, ignite the grill (the lighter and other tools can be found in the kitchen drawer next to the fridge), and close the lid. Then, put on all the burners in the high position for 10 to 15 minutes, or until 500F is reached.

Now, it’s time to ignite the grill. Keep in mind that each knob controls an individual burner, each of which ignites independently. Light them up from left to right, but if you won’t be using all the burners while grilling - just light up the ones you're using.

Then, follow these steps:

  1. Open the grill lid.

  2. Make sure all burners are in the O position (off), you can check them by pressing and then turning the knobs clockwise. Important note for safety: All burner knobs must be in the O position before you switch the LPG cylinder on.

  3. Turn the cylinder valve counter-clockwise to switch on the gas supply.

  4. Switch on the burners one by one, starting with the leftmost burner. Push the control knob in, then turn it counterclockwise to the start/high position.

  5. Next, press down the electronic ignition button (small silver button left of the first burner). You should hear a ticking sound after.

  6. The burner should now be lit!

  7. Repeat steps 4 to 6 to light up the rest of the burners.

When you’re done, you can switch off the burners but pushing each knob in, then turning them clockwise until they reach the O position.

Last but not least, don’t forget to turn off the gas supply in the LPG cylinder.

Troubleshooting steps

If the burner still isn’t lighting after you’ve followed steps 4 through 6, turn the burner control knob off then wait 5 minutes. This will allow the gas to clear up, then you can try lighting the burner once more.

The grill lighter, as well as other tools, can be found in the kitchen drawer next to the fridge. If you need extra propane tanks, these are in the garage or around the fireplace.

For more information on troubleshooting the grill, you can refer to the User’s Manual.
