How to Use the Grill at Wander Anchor Bay

Read on before you start grilling!

Who said outdoor dining only means trying out restos in town? A perfect way to top off your trip is by cooking hearty meals for you and your crew. Plus, it's a great way to bond with family and friends over a shared love for good food!

At Wander, we have all the essentials for you whether you're a grilling rookie or a seasoned pro. So fire up the grill and get ready for some tasty vacation memories at Wander Anchor Bay!

Safety precautions

For a memorable grilling experience, safety must come first! Ensure that children and pets are kept far away from the grill, and never leave the grill unattended while cooking.

Also, avoid placing flammable materials on the grill that could potentially catch fire, such as gasoline, debris, wood, etc. Remember these tips to make grilling as safe and enjoyable as possible!

How to turn on/off the grill

You could easily find the grill on the back porch, next to the bathtub – an ideal spot for hosting an evening of grilling during your vacation!

To get started, open the lid before igniting the grill’s burners. Turn the gas knob to your preferred flame, allowing the gas to flow.

After that, press or hold down the ignitor button (found at the far right side of the grill panel and has a small battery symbol) to ignite the flame. Remember to hold the ignitor button for a few seconds.

Finally, when you're done, simply turn the gas dial to the off position.

Troubleshooting steps

Behind the grill, on the lower deck side, you can see a red gas valve. If the red pulley is horizontal or facing the sides, it means that gas is flowing. If it’s facing vertically or upwards, it means that the gas is cut off.

If the ignitor button is not functioning, you can turn the gas dials and manually light them using a grill lighter. You can find the grill lighter in the kitchen drawer.

Bonus: Grilling Tips!

  1. Preheat the grill before cooking, and don’t overcrowd it to ensure that your food cooks evenly.

  2. Use separate plates and utensils for handling raw and cooked food.

  3. Add sugar-based sauces, like BBQ sauce, at the end of cooking to avoid burning.

  4. Trim excess fat from foods to reduce flare-ups while cooking.

  5. Have fun and experiment with different techniques to keep things interesting.

  6. Finally, enjoy your delicious grilled food with family and friends!

Now that’s done, be sure to explore the top dining spots and notable shops while in town. For more travel tips and insights, text Wander Concierge at +1-737-377-3205 – they’d be happy to help out!
