Rules and Policies

Learn more about our guidelines to make the most out of your Wander experience.

Wander is perfect for those who love adventure, new experiences, and technology. We find homes in the most inspiring of locations, which means that our properties can be a bit off-the-beaten-path, with some even positioned on high cliffs or up a steep drive. We take pride in the fact that our homes are equipped with smart home technology, but understand not everyone may be as excited about and comfortable with those functionalities as we are.

Please be sure to read through our policies and each home's description and "Before You Book" section thoroughly to ensure that Wander and the property that you are booking is the right fit for you and your party. Our 24/7 Concierge is also happy to help you plan the perfect Wander experience.

Check-in / Check-out

  • Check-in: anytime after 4:00 pm

  • Check-out: anytime before 10:00 am

  • To ensure we have enough time to get the home cleaned to Wander standards for the following guests, we cannot accommodate early check-in or late check-out; however, the Concierge is happy to recommend activities, attractions, or restaurants to help you fill the time through our in-app or website chat.

Minimum Stay

There is a 3-night minimum stay for all Wander homes. We accept 1 or 2-night bookings only if there is a gap between existing bookings. You should be able to do that in-app automatically in those situations!

Cancellation Policy

  • By booking, you agree and understand Wander does not give refunds, only credits under the stated conditions.

  • If it is more than 14 days before your check-in date: You can freely move your stay, or receive Wander credits for the full value of your trip, which you can spend on any future stay at any Wander property. Please note that cancellations should be made before 4 PM EST, 14 days before the check-in date for credits to be automatically reflected in your account.

  • If it is less than 14 days before your check-in date: You can no longer move your trip. We will re-list your dates and attempt to re-book them. If we are successful, you will receive Wander credit for whatever dates we can re-book.

  • You may re-sell or gift your dates if you have a colleague or friend who can make it instead. In this case, just let the Concierge know their name and Wander account email, so the booking details can be updated.

Weather or Illness Cancellations

  • Wander is not responsible for weather conditions, personal emergencies, or schedule changes.

  • Guests who travel insurance through allianztravelinsurance.com, which offers packages that cover illness and weather, can file a claim if needed.

Events

  • By booking, you agree any events or professional projects must be approved by Wander first.

  • By booking an event, you understand we require a deposit, event rates, and a contract.

Discounts and Promotions

  • Discounts and promotions can only be applied during the check-out process within the Wander ecosystem. Discounts and promotions cannot be applied to past stays or stays already booked.

  • Promotions cannot be applied to a trip that was canceled and then re-booked for the same dates.

  • Promotions cannot be transferred to credits or cash.

Credits Policy

  • Credits can only be applied during the check-out process within the Wander ecosystem.

Smart Home Controls (In Beta)

  • There is state-of-the-art technology throughout the home, which you will need to control from the Wander app. Please note the Smart Home Controls are in Beta, and we appreciate your booking during this period.

  • Our 24/7 Wander Concierge is available for support if you encounter any difficulty navigating the tech.

Age

  • 21 is the minimum age to book a Wander.

Children

  • Most Wanders are awesome for kids, and they are always welcome.

  • However, some may not be safe for small children. By booking, you agree to carefully read the "Children Safety" and “Before You Book” sections and to not leave your children unattended.

Pets

  • Most Wander properties are pet-friendly, and we happily welcome our guests' furry friends on their stays with them. Please note that we follow a strict no-pet policy at Wander Leavenworth Peaks, Wander Telluride Falls, and Wander Afton Meadows.

  • For homes that allow pets, we do have some rules and a $350 pet fee, which goes to the cleaner for the extra work required after a pet stays. This fee does not cover damage by breaking the pet policy rules.

  • To preserve our homes' delicate luxury furniture and linens, pets are strictly prohibited in beds, indoor or outdoor furniture, or spa facilities.

  • Pets are not allowed to be left unattended unless crated. Pet owners will be responsible for damage and charged through their payment on file.

  • To adhere to the "Good Neighbor Policy," please remember to keep them on a leash to keep them and the neighbors safe when outdoors and ensure to clean up their waste.

Damage and Disclaimers

  • If anything is damaged when you arrive, you agree to let the Concierge know via text at 737-377-3205 or through the in-app chat on the day of your arrival.

  • You are responsible for any damage to the home, furniture, or equipment during your stay. You are also solely responsible for the well-being of you and your party during your stay, including supervising children on the property and while swimming.

  • You operate the gym equipment, pools, hot tubs, saunas, and all amenities at your own risk. You agree all activities are at your own risk, and you are solely responsible for staying away from cliff edges, swimming safely, and following local laws.

Law enforcement

  • By booking, you agree if law enforcement, fire, or security personnel visit the Wander home during your stay.

  • The aforementioned and Wander have the right to have you and anyone staying with you vacate the Wander home with no credits or refund should there be any breaches of policy or the law.

Smoking

  • By booking, you agree to our no smoking or vaping inside a Wander.

Security

  • For security, there is a ring camera on the exterior of the front door and cameras facing the driveway at each Wander. There are no other cameras inside your Wander home. 

Flames

  • Open flames including candles are prohibited. Exceptions are birthday candles on a cake, or fire in a designated fire pit or fireplace provided by Wander.
