A few months ago, we announced the launch of Wander REIT, the next critical piece to our core underlying financial infrastructure and how we plan on scaling Wander to reach and serve thousands more customers for years to come. Simply put, the more investors, the more capital we have to acquire our unique and magical Wander homes that millions of people can have the pleasure of experiencing. It also allows us to blur the line between customers and owners.
Historically, investors had to buy a vacation home, rent it out and manage it. And the reality isn’t always pretty – lots of late nights, pressure to market your home, cleaning bathrooms and fixing light bulbs. Wander REIT is leaving all of that behind and pioneering a better way to reap the benefits of investing in one of the fastest segments of real estate – short-term rentals – without the hassle of owning and managing a vacation rental yourself. Investors have the potential opportunity to earn high-yield passive income targeting an 7-8% annual return, and to participate in the capital appreciation of the homes themselves, bringing the REIT to a total targeted annual return of 14%. Besides the attractive return profile, the REIT also provides investors with portfolio diversification and tax-advantaged income. For now, the REIT is currently only available to accredited investors for a minimum investment of $2,500.This quarter, Wander REIT just paid out its first dividend. We saw 5.1% appreciation across the portfolio and are on track to meet our targeted annual dividend of 7-8%!

New features for a simple investing experience
In the same way that we built Wander with our guests in mind, we rebuilt the Wander REIT investment experience with our investors in mind, so you can invest with zero hassle. Here’s a high-level overview of what’s new:
New payment methods: Credit Card, Apple Pay, Google Pay: Let’s be real, linking your bank account to an investment platform can be a very manual and lengthy process. That's why we've added the ability to invest via credit card, Apple Pay, and Google Pay– removing all of the hassle of linking your bank account and putting investing right at your fingertips.
Instant investing via a bank account with Plaid: For anyone who prefers to link their bank account, we've made the process even faster and more efficient. We've integrated Plaid, a financial services company that allows for instant bank verification and authentication, making investing as simple as possible.
Shortened the investment flow to 3 simple steps: Investing shouldn't involve a multi-step process that just leaves you looking for a way out. We've dramatically simplified and made it easy to navigate through each step. Now, you can invest immediately and worry about verifying your accreditation later. All you need to do is: 1. Create an account and select what applies 2. Input basic personal information 3. Select the dollar amount. It’s really that simple.
No more meetings: We understand that not everyone has the time to schedule and attend a meeting with our investor relations team. That’s why we’ve removed this pre-investment requirement. Investors now have the option to meet with our investor relations team or invest on their own terms.
